The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) Women’s Biz Net (WBN) will host the 8th Annual Outstanding Women Leaders (OWL) Awards Luncheon on Thursday, September 25. The event will take place at the Biltmore Country Club in North Barrington from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are available for $45 at www.BarringtonChamber.com.
Honorees
The luncheon will honor four women, each recognized for their contributions to the community and their fields. Dr. Agnieszka “Aggie” Iwaszczyszyn, owner of Hart Dental, will receive the OWL Recipient for Professional Excellence. Ellaine Sambo-Reyther, Managing Director of BMO Wealth Management, will be named the OWL Recipient for Community Impact. Kimberly Saunders, Executive Director of the Barrington Area Council of Governments (BACOG), will be honored with the OWL Recipient for Nonprofit Leadership. Jennifer Lucas, Leader of Go Green Barrington, will receive the OWL Recipient for Mentorship and Education.
Purpose of the OWL Awards
The OWL Awards were established by the BACC WBN Council to recognize women who demonstrate exceptional leadership and service in four categories: Community Impact, Mentorship and Education, Nonprofit Leadership, and Professional Excellence.
Remarks by BACC President/CEO
BACC President/CEO Suzanne Corr stated, “Our communities are better and stronger because of the vision, dedication, and service of these Outstanding Women Leaders. They are breaking barriers and setting the bar high for their accomplishments professionally and to the community. They have meaningful stories to share that we can all learn from.”
